Looks like we’ve made a mistake. Fencing does not start this week (28th Feb).
Fencing for the year commences Monday 7th March at 7pm, not as stated in the post below.
More information in the forum.

Club sessions are now every Monday and Wednesday.

The first club session for the year is on at 7pm, Monday 28th Feburary.
The location is the same gym court as usual, that is the basketball court.

The second club session is on at 7pm, Wednesday 2nd March.
The location is the upstairs dance studio. It is found by going up the stairs on the left before the main reception desk and, taking a left turn at the top of the stairs.

Beginners course will also begin soon on 7pm, Monday 14th (3rd week of semester one). Please sign up as early as possible if you are interested.

We will also have a stall during orientation week (first week of uni, 28th Feb – 4th March). Feel free to come and ask questions or help man the stall. More information about the stall here.

Just a friendly reminder that this week is the last week of fencing for the year, Thursday the 21st being the last day. I will endeavour to organise club champs the Thursday after exams finish, the 18th of November, so be on the lookout for that update. There will be a $5 entry fee to cover the cost of the gym. There may also be a club dinner after the competition, depending on interest.

Another thing to look out for is the Les Penny competition on Saturday the 11th of December. This is the fun competition of the year out at Waiheke island. Here is the link for the facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=157249950963264

The beginners course finished this Monday 23rd of August and there is a post-beginners party happening. The event is being linked to a members band’s debut EP being released at the Dogs Bollix. More information and discussion in the forum.

No fencing during the mid-semester break.

In between Monday 30 August – Saturday 11 September, no club fencing will take place. Fencing on Mondays and Thursdays will resume after the mid-semester break. Beginners who wish to continue can do so by showing up to one of our club sessions. They are at the same place (recreation centre) and time (7pm), Mondays and Thursdays.
